Asian Night Market
So last saturday Vania, Jag (+Cuz +Friend), and I went to the Asian Night Market that was held at Olympic Plaza. For sure, the night market itself was not very impressive. I suppose it can be counted as a "good effort" on the part of Calgary trying to create more events, hey, at the very least it was a day out - but it wasn't Richmond by far. I did fall for some of the food, and in the dark of night, it did seem a bit more interesting given that you couldn't actually see how lacking it really was. What was funny was the fact that it was a high school reunion and a reunion of everyone asian including family, friends, and people I kinda know but not really. One thing I did actually try at one of the stalls was Reiki. Whilst Vania and Jag trying out a tarot reading, the guy next to it was a natural healer. Overall, it was an intersting experience. I was pretty open minded when it came to it, I thought I would just give it a try, if nothing, it wouldn't hurt right? The biggest thing I noticed was when he was doing his thing was this warm, almost electrical sensation in and around my head. Afterwards, he was saying that it felt like small sparks bouncing back and fourth from my head to his hands, a rare phenomena. Apparently I'm thinking too much and I just need to stop analyzing and worrying and de-stress. Oh, if only ...
Would I go back and try Reiki again? Yep, probably. Especially when I really didn't feel all that relaxed given the a)mosquito bites, b)asian ladies talking loudly, c)beeping of some hella annoying toy playing lame-o music over and over and over.
