Internationally Legal Baby!

21 years old ... finally (Sunday)! ... Now I don't have to get kicked out of Las Vegas hotels for loitering in the facinity of a slot machine ... ooo ... aaaahhhh ....

Had the opportunity to go to Alan's friend, Ellen's cabin in Canmore and also watch Mozart on the Mountain, all in all pretty good! Happy Birthday to me!

Shout out to my aunts on both sides of the family who share my birthday with me :)

PS: the birthday candles were leftovers from my sisters 26th birthday a few days ago and they thought it'd be "creative" to reuse what they could...got the job done anyways...

August

I sooo didn't get the memo that time is being accelerated this year.

Cultured

Last Saturday Henry, Tim (Frenchie), Wang Wee (Malaysian Intern), and I went to the BeatNiq Jazz club on 1st and watched The October Trio, a jazz trio (bass, sax, drums) from Vancouver. At first it seemed sketchy seeing as you have to go to the alley, walk down a flight of metal stairs and make your way into a hot, dark room ... but it turned out to be a really nice evening of good music and good company.

This combined with the awesome Matt Dusk CD (Back in Town) on continuous play in my car equals my slow creep away rom Top 40 into new music styles...

me + iPod + MacBook = :)

That's right folks, last week I entered into the hype of consumerism, marketing, and material urges and purchased a new black Apple MacBook and 30GB black iPod video. This is something that I have really been looking forward to. With Naz and Alan (and first Juan and Harshi) sporting their cool PowerBooks and beautiful Mac OS I had to delve into the mysterious land of Mac. Damn the computer looks so hawt and functions with an elegance unlike the traditional PC. Me, being a sucker for all that superficial stuff am in awe of this thing. I'm still a bit lost and trying to figure stuff out, but that'll come with time hopefully...

…now if I can only figure out how to right click!

...and can it also be known that I was the FIRST to get this computer ... before apparently everyone else like Layial, Henry and Carlson get one too ...

Here is a link to a great blog I discovered with great tips of Mac users: http://www.thinkmac.net/blog/
